Hello all! Well life seems to get in the way of creating art sometimes, but my family is first! So sorry to art in a carton players...BUT my art is wrapping up this weekend and will be ready to go in mail!
I'm so excited! I've received my first Art-in-a-carton from Lynn White in AZ last week. I love the textured wallpaper on outside of carton with pretty pink ribbon. Inside was an altered matchbox doll with bottle cap head - very creative! A mirrored angel journal, and an awesome ATC. I can't forget the colorful wired stone necklace-it's hard to choose a favorite! Lynn you are very talented! Can't wait to send mine out, now that both parents are out of hospital and doing well.
Take a look at some of my work in progress from faux patina painting to faux cracked glass and a few too many tape transfers in one mini book. Kinda got carried away, but I think it turned out alright.
We had a great time with part of family (that's in town). I will post pictures of Patina works- chipboard book or two, mint tin, & more. I've been working on bits and pieces of each. I need to finish these, because I'm anxious to start on projects for "Christmas in July with TAC" fun-shop mom is hosting at her house. I always have a few projects at one time going on, but I'm trying to do better on completing one or two before taking on more.
Well, After searching and trying to get help from DD - I deleted my other slide show(found where to delete on my own)because it was too big! I have been working on adding my work to my blog, but it's a work in progress, my girls stay on computer with friends, then hubby likes to look for car parts. Then it's my turn. Anyways - it leaves more time for art! Oh yeah, thanks to DD - I did find this cute button (lots actually) I <3 MICKEY!
I'm still trying to get the hang of this blogging stuff (my daughters wanted me to get a myspace page) I am trying to get together some pictures of my art, but I can't get scanner to work. ....ANYWAYS I found this awesome blog - ART IN A CARTON! I would love to participate!!!! I have saved 2 cartons from the recycling bin, and ready to get creative!!! After posting I'll try to emailing Susan and linking. (Wish me luck)
I lost my way back to my blog:( I called my brother (out of state) to help me find it. Is there a book on blogs for dummies? My daughter did help find these cool paint brushes, but their not where I want them. lost the black backround too. Anyways, I'm working on serindipity squares left over from STAMP CAMP w/SU. We had a great time! The ideas were cute!
I'm a mom of 2 wonderful girls, and wife to a sometimes DH. I work at a school. I Love to be creative! I have painted murals, canvases, chairs, and windows found on the side of the road. I fell in love with stamping several years ago! I enjoy challenging myself to try different techniques. My mom tells everyone that I'm an artist, some days I believe it.
